The British Columbia School of Art Therapy (BCSAT) and the Human Center proudly announce an international program in art therapy beginning this November in Bangkok, the most colourful capital city of Thailand.

This art therapy program is validated by the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and follows the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) guidelines for educational requirements. BCSAT has been a B.C. Government registered post-graduate institution since 1987. Bringing academic training in art therapy in Thailand is a collaboration of the BCSAT a non-profit, charitable organization in Canada and the Human Center a charitable organization in Bangkok. This weekend program is intended to meet the needs of those who cannot find the time during the year to undertake a long term course, but would like to obtain professional qualifications in the field of art therapy through intensive theoretical and practical training. The core course instructors will be coming to teach from the BCSAT in Canada. Opportunities for student exchange will become available. Mental Health Professionals, Counsellors, Social Workers and Artists may be interested in extending their skills to the healing arts field. The
students who graduate from this program will receive a Post B.A. Diploma or a Post M.A. Certificate and be entitled “ Art Therapists”. This title will allow them to pursue a career as a professional Art Therapist internationally (regional conditions applicable).
